The IT Hero Program was created to encourage IT Professionals to get involved in supporting their local community as individuals. The IT Hero Program is part of a larger initiative at Culminis known as the Community Works Program which helps support individuals and groups that promote community involvement.
An IT Hero Nominee has some or all of the following characteristics:
- Makes a significant effort to get involved in the community
- Generates excitement and interest around each project (s)he is volunteering on
- Encourages others to get involved in volunteering in the community
- Is able to determine the impact of their efforts (added technology infrastructures to x number of organizations, taught x number of community members how to do x on a computer, etc.)
- Has a continuous schedule/cycle of volunteer efforts and initiatives
- Grows the volunteer efforts and impact over time
- Creates and implements new programs as needed
How to Nominate an IT Hero IT Hero’s are nominated by their peers. If a member’s effort go above and beyond in supporting the community, their peer(s) can complete the IT Hero Nomination Form to submit an IT Hero story!
There is no limit to the number of nominations that may be submitted, however, an IT Hero will not be considered more than once, as a recipient for the same project.
What is the Reward? Nominees are reviewed by Culminis staff and those selected are designated as the recipients of the Culminis IT Hero award. Recipients will receive recognition for their outstanding service in the community.
